I did a test on a boosted post to see if Facebook promotes their own platform a bit more than others. Which is totally understandable that they would. I mean, who wouldn’t right?
So I took one of my YouTube Videos and posted in on my Faceless Guru page FB timeline, and then boosted it for $50. And it reached 3,757 people.
Now I took another video and uploaded it straight to FB and again posted it on my timeline and then boosted that one for $48 and it reached around 17,000 people.
Now the price it shows now is $96, but that’s because it had done really well, so I boosted it a second time and it reached even more people and that’s why it’s showing 24,647 people reached in this case study.
So let’s take a look at a side by side comparison of the two ads.
YOUTUBE VIDEO BOOSTED POST ON FACEBOOK
Targeted: Men & Women ages 25-45
Engagements: 59 – People who actually watched the video
People Reached: 3,624 – Number of people who actually seen my ad.
Total Spent: $50
FACEBOOK VIDEO BOOSTED POST ON FACEBOOK
Targeted: Men & Women ages 18-50
Engagements: 6,975 – People who actually watched the video
People Reached: 24,108 – Number of people who actually seen my ad.
Total Spent: $48 initially, then boosted again.
So for this video as I mentioned before, it was more than 17,000 when I first boosted!
To wrap this up! If you are going to BOOST A VIDEO on Facebook, make sure you upload the video to Facebook then boost it, you will get a much more effective turn out in the end.
I hope this case study help you out a bit.
Signing off till next time,
